Enalotto was played originally as a football pools-style game. It was ‘1X2’ styled game where first numbers were drawn from the each of the Lotto city wheel in alphabetical order, the second numbers were drawn from the Rome and Naples wheels. If the number drawn is between one and thirty, players would mark ‘1’ in their boxes; if the number drawn is between thirty-one and sixty, players would mark ‘X’ in their boxes; and finally if their numbers were between sixty-one and ninety, the players would mark ‘2’ in their boxes. There would be 12 ordered boxes for the players to mark. The entries that had a total of 10, 11 or 12 would be the winners of the lotto.
