Enalotto was played originally as a football pools-style game. It was ‘1X2’ styled game where first numbers were drawn from the each of the Lotto city wheel in alphabetical order, the second numbers were drawn from the Rome and Naples wheels. The draws for the lotto occurs every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evening.
The largest prize someone has won in the SuperEnalotto is €177.7 million in the month of October 2010 by a syndicate of 70 players.
Who can play SuperEnalotto
Players must be at least 18 years or older in order to play SuperEnalotto. For those who do not reside in Italy, there is an online service provided where they can purchase tickets and participate in the games.

Players have a guaranteed percentage of 60% of the money from the sales goes into prizes. From matching two numbers up to six numbers including the option of matching 5 plus the Jolly number, the chances of winning is divided into six categories. Claiming the prize money
SuperEnalotto prizes can be claimed at your local retail stores or online. For prizes up to €520, the money can be claimed at any retail store, Sisal offices, or at designated payment centers and payment can be done with cash or check. For prizes that are more than €520 and up to €5,200, the money can be claimed at only the store that the specific ticket was bought or alternatively at the Sisal offices or payment centers. Prizes between €5,200 and €52,000 can be claimed at the payment centers and the Sisal offices and lastly, prizes above €52,000 at the Sisal offices. For the latter two, only bank transfers will be done.
If the ticket is purchased online, prizes below €5,200 will be credited to the lottery account. For all other prizes, winners have to visit the Sisal offices.
While claiming the jackpot prize money, players can choose to stay anonymous or announce their winnings. The choice to stay anonymous is given to the winners.
Tax payments for SuperEnalotto
The government of Italy charges 12% tax on all lottery prize money that exceeds €500. For example, if the prize one is €2000, €500 is first deducted and the tax charged is 60% on €1500 i.e. €900.
