An Account Manager of Timeless Tech Ltd contacted me over Skype. He asked me to review the new site Timeless Tech launched on September 1st, 2020 – Super Stakes.

There’s a bit of a challenge in reviewing a new brand – there are no real user reviews and there’s no way of telling how they are addressed. I’ll be a thorough as I can, and will revisit this review in a couple of months to be sure it is valid. This is the second new brand I review this month, so I’ve dealt with these challenges a few days ago with Crazy Lottos.

Super Stakes mission statement is to create an online lottery experience that would keep lotto player updated and engaged regularly. In this experience, they aim to provide the world’s biggest selection of jackpots. I appreciate the user experience goal, but they are far off in the lotto selection.

Super Stakes Review Aspects

All online lottery agents aim, as their core mission statement, to provide a positive lottery playing experience to their players. But still, they vary greatly in their approach and capabilities. In each review I write, I try to capture some of the unique aspects of a brand. Nevertheless, the main review aspects stay the same. This means a better comparison between brands and a minimal threshold to meat.

These are this review’s review aspects:

  • Security – It is as the top of the list for a good reason. If Super Stakes isn’t taking the necessary precaution measures to protect their players, I’ll suggest you play at any one of the excellent brands in my online lottery agents toplist. There’s no review aspect more critical to the brand’s score than this one
  • Products – In this aspect, I cover the lottos that are available on the site, and if there are bundles and syndicates. Also, I check what other games are available – scratch cards, keno, live lotto, etc.
  • Features – Other than products, brands differ by features. I check which ones are used on the site and how they impact the playing experience
  • Platforms – Device, and even the operating system, require adjustments by the brand to keep the player experience consistent. This also applies to screen sizes. Platform support is a technical challenge that requires an ongoing effort by many departments
  • Promotions – Bonuses are one of the tools Super Stakes’ marketing use to acquire new players and retain existing ones. With the many brands available, I’ll check if these offers are relevant and attractive
  • Support – Ideally, everything goes smoothly and the platform is friendly and usable. I’ll check there’s someone available in case you need assistance

Following these review aspects, I’ll answer a simple question – is Super Stakes a legitimate brand to play the lottery at? – and end the review with a quick summary and direct alternatives.

Security and Safety Measures

I open every lottery agent review with security. It is the most important review aspect since I wouldn’t want to play with a brand that doesn’t keep my information safe. If Super Stakes doesn’t reach a minimal safety threshold I can save the time and skip on the remaining review aspects.

Website Encryption

Super Stakes SSL Labs SSL Certificate Test

Super Stakes SSL Labs SSL Certificate Test

Most of the websites we’re visiting daily are secured – have a valid SSL certificate that was issued by a known issuer. Content websites can use the most basic certificate since we’re not sending sensitive information through it. In fact, a free certificate would be just fine. But, for a website that saves login detail, personal information, and handles payments, there should be a top grade certificate. These websites are more likely to be targeted by hackers.

Super Stakes’s certificate is issued by Cloudflare – a known web services provider – but its grade is B (see screenshot). I used SSL Labs testing tool to get the site’s certificate grade.

Super Stakes Blacklist Status

Super Stakes Virus Total Detection

Super Stakes Virus Total Detection

Security services rate different websites for any fraud or malicious activity. Each service detected enters a blacklist and flagged for others to be careful of. I use an aggregator called Virus Total that cross-references a website with multiple engines to detect if it is detected by any. Out of 79 engines that audited Super Stakes, none flagged it as malicious.

Super Stakes Reputation

Checking SSL and blacklist is relatively simple, but checking for something as vague as reputation requires a deeper dive. In this case, there’s little to work with since Super Stakes was launched recently and there are no reviews by real players. There’s value in real user review and they give a sense of how consistent the experience across devices, languages, countries, etc. – like doing a wide-scale QA to the site. It’s also valuable to see how brands respond to user complaints.

I’ll have to get back to this review aspect within a few months and look for any real-world signals.

Super Stakes’ Available Products – Lotteries and Games

The lottery selection is decent, with most of the thought after lotteries available.

The list includes Powerball US, Irish Lotto, Hoosier Lotto, Wednesday Lotto AU, Monday Lotto AU, Oz Saturday Lotto AU, UK Thunderball, New York Lotto, Florida Lotto, California Super Plus, German Lotto 649, Powerball AU, French Loto, Oz Lotto, Euro Jackpot, Mega Millions, and EuroMillions

Since Super Stakes is using a platform they don’t own, the selection of lotteries is limited to what the platform offers. It means that all brands using Spionoal will offer the same exact list of games.

On the site, there are banners suggesting over 400 slots and casino games are coming soon.

Available Features

All features are lottery related since other games are not yet available on the site.

Super Stakes is missing the quick play widget that Crazy Lottos uses, and it is clear at a first glance at the homepage.

Pick +1 and Pick All

Super Stakes screenshot 9 - Line Pick Super Stakes screenshot 8 - Quick PickThese are the two basic features that most platforms have. Some brands give these two options different names, but the same functionality. Quick Pick is an auto pick all open lines, and the yellow magic wand icon is to fill one open line.

Multi-draw

Super Stakes screenshot 9 - Multi-Draw

In every lottery or bundle page, there’s the option of picking the number of draws – for example, 3, 6, 9 or 12. The more draws you buy tickets for the higher the discount on the purchase. The feature also has a winning chance – the more draws you opt-in for the higher the chance for any win.

Bundles

A bundle is a group of tickets. Tickets are usually bundled by:

  • GEO/Country – US lotteries, AU lotteries, EU lotteries, etc.
  • Highest jackpots – the x number of lotteries with the current highest jackpots.
  • Drawing closest – the x number of lotteries that are drawing next.

Usually, bundles prices are lower than the cost of individual lines. Considering the lottery mixture, the bundle has a higher chance of winning any prize per cost (for the most part).

Super Stakes offers three bundles:

  • Super 4
  • Super 8
  • Super World

Cart

The cart feature was introduced to the online lottery so players would get an e-commerce experience. The experience should be similar to that of a brick and mortar shop. With a cart, a visitor to the site can add tickets of multiple lotteries.

Platform Experience

Super Stakes is build using an online lottery platform by Spinola. The website looks great and I couldn’t find any issues on any devices. User experience (UX) is another highlight for the platform. It is consistent across screen sizes – from desktop to small smartphones.

Promotions and Bonuses

Super Stakes screenshot - New Customer Offer

Super Stakes New Customer Offers

All the brands who use Spoinola’s platform are limited to its wireframe and list of features. The tools a brand has to differentiate itself from others is design – customize the platform’s skin – and bonuses. Design can be a tool for retention – get players to come back – but bonuses and promotions are tools for acquisition – get new players to try the service.

Super 4 Bundle

First-time depositors get 50% off on Super 4. The first deposit has to be at least €25. You have to claim the offer within 24 hours of making the deposit.

Super 8 Bundle

First-time depositors get 50% off on Super 8. The first deposit has to be at least €40. You have to claim the offer within 24 hours of making the deposit.

I’m not sure why the minimum deposit’s minimum is different than the Super 4, but you should take note of it.

Super World Bundle

First-time depositors get 50% off on Super World. The first deposit has to be at least €60. You have to claim the offer within 24 hours of making the deposit.

Again, as with Super 8, the minimum deposit is higher.

Customer Support

Super Stakes screenshot 10 - Chat

This is another important review aspect. I’m looking at how easy it is to reach a representative of Super Stakes – communication channels and availability. I also check for FAQ pages and how informative they are.

There’s a help page with an explanation on different topics – registration, account, deposits and withdrawals, bonus, casino, and security.

Chat is the only communication channel, but it is available 24/7. The contact us is very lean and doesn’t include any meaningful information – the chat feature is always showing at the bottom right corner of the site.

I managed to find an email address – [email protected] – that you can use in case there’s no immediate reply in the chat.

Is Super Stakes Legit or Fraud? a Close Look

As I mentioned, Super Stakes launched recently. This means there are little signals from real players to indicate their intention. For this reason, I’ll have to revisit this review soon.

Some positive indicators are regulation and platform. Timeless Tech and superstakes.bet meat regulation and licensed with the Government of Curacao. Any license is proof of right doing. They use a platform that is popular with many other brands.

Review Summary

The brand is new, but licensed with a regulator and uses a solid platform. The site’s design looks really nice across devices and the overall experience is positive. Lottery selection is lean but includes popular draws. Promotions are valuable, but Super Stakes limited them to bundles.

If you’re looking for a new brand and enjoy the visuals and offers, Super Stakes could be for you.

Pros / Cons
  • The design is visually attractive and easy to use
  • Platform and regulation are trust signals
  • Customer support is available 24/7
  • The operation is new and I couldn't find any real user reviews
  • There are no raffles or scratch cards

Alternatives to Super Stakes

Don’t want to take any risks? Have a look at the toplist – there are country-specific tolists link India, Australia and Canada, for example. You can skip the toplist and go for anyone of these two recommended brands – Lotto Agent and Lotto247.
