Jackpot.com, a reputable brand by its own, launched a new brand called Lottery World. This brand is focused on lottery and scratch game, while jackpot.com added Casino games – slots, cards and table – to its website. This website is also targeting different countries with translations and colour schemes. At a glance, the site looks nice and inviting, but let’s give a closer look.

Lottery World Review Aspects

If I want to compare online lottery websites, I need to follow a set structure. This structure includes the review aspects that are most relevant for players.

These are my review sections:

  • Security – lottery websites ask for personal details – first in the registration process, and then in the deposit/purchase. This aspect covers the technical means that the brand is taking to keep its players’ information secure.
  • Products – a lottery player is looking to buy a ticket or complete a wager on a specific lottery and I check the lottery variety and how it is compared to other options. I also check for additional games, such as scratch cards.
  • Features – playing lottery online freed agents to provide services and features that are not available in a shop. These features improve on the gameplay and contribute to the player’s overall experience.
  • Platforms – between desktop, tablet and mobile, web and app, and browser and OS, there are numerous options for users to consume lottery. This is a technical and visual challenge. A brand had to create a seamless and coherent experience across so many different devices.
  • Promotions – players check a few brands before registering and completing a deposit or first ticket purchase, and promotions and bonuses are one of the means a brand has to get players to onboard. Bonuses shouldn’t be a major deciding factor – they come with limitation – but it’s still fun to play longer for the same price.
  • Banking – another limitation brands have to address is the payment and withdrawal options. Different countries have different banking options.
  • Support – customer support is a must for any brand that deals with private information and charges its users. You need to know there’s someone you can easily reach – channel and availability. There’s also the option of self-service with FAQ and clear content on how the operation works.

Security Measures Lottery World Uses

Many of today’s content websites have an SSL certificate. It secures the connection between the user’s computer and the service’s server. Any website that manages users HAVE to use a secured connection. Lottery World uses an RSA 2048 bits SSL certificate issued by GoDaddy. The certificate supports modern technology, but its overall rating at SSL Labs is B. The issue with the certificate is technical.

Lotteries and Games You Can Play with Lottery World

There are 23 lotteries to choose from in the all lotteries page on Lottery World. The list has some very interesting lotteries that are uncommon – China, Santiago, and Pick 3. The complete list includes EuroMillions, Powerball, Mega Millions, Irish Lotto, Pick 3, Lotto China, Euro Jackpot, Cash 4 Life, SuperEnalotto, German Lotto 6/49, Lotto America, Polish Lotto, Lotto India, Powerball AU, OZ Lotto, Lotto France, UK Lottery, Australia Lotto, Lotto Max, Mega Sena, Canada Lotto 649, Australia 645, Loto Santiago.

There’s a scratchcards section on the site with 9 games. All games are by Pariplay, which is one of the leading providers for scratch games for lottery sites. The games are BarnVille, Cops and Robbers, Dragon Scrolls, Fruit Basket, Mega Love, Ocean Fortune, Royal Charm, The Alchemist, and Zodiac Fortune. Tickets costs between $0.50 and $5 and top tier prizes are between $5,000 and $50,000. If you’d like to play these games, you’ll need to complete a purchase of tickets and then scratch. It’s similar to the lottery experience – you add products to the card and complete a buy – and not the online casino experience. In online casinos, you play directly from your account’s standing balance.

Game Features on Lottery World’s Platform

Gameplay features are designed to enhance the lottery and scratch card experience across platforms. These are the features you would use if you choose to play with Lottery World:

Quick Pick Widget

There’s a shortcut that is probably aimed at existing players more than new ones. With a click on one button, you can add a number of auto-generated lottery lines to the basket/cart.

Quick Pick Buttons

Each lottery tickets has a Quick Pick button that auto-fills the ticket’s number picks. You can manually pick your lucky numbers, but have the option to auto-complete the line when they run out.

Basket/Cart

Most modern online operators have this feature. A cart makes the purchase simpler and more intuitive. You choose a lottery, pick number lines, and add them to the cart. Once you added all the lottery lines you can pay for them in one transaction. You can also add scratch card tickets to the cart.

The cart’s order review page includes some features of its own. There’s a promotion code redeem option. A subscribe check box in case you want to renew your purchase on a weekly basis. You can also update your numbers pick.

Platform and Device Support

With players login in from different devices, Lottery World has to make sure it supports the vast majority of them. I’ve used the site with as many devices – desktop, laptop, iPad tablet, and a couple of mobile smartphones. The theme and experience are kept across screen sizes, but on mobile devices, you have to scroll down to reach the scratch cards section. The top section is also not efficient in terms of the space it takes. The responsive view is good, but I wish there was an app with a more custom layout.

Promotions and Bonuses

There are no bonuses for new customers – registering, completing a first purchase or deposit – which is disappointing. I like first deposit bonuses because they give an opportunity to experience more in the first engagement.

The only attractive offer is the subscription. You get a discount on any ticket renewal you purchase. I’ve sampled a few lotteries for their discount and it was between 9% and 11%.

Banking Options

Brands try to support as many, relevant, payment options as they can – it’s a good service to the play base. Unfortunately, this is not feasible as there are many out there.

Deposit Methods

Lottery World accepts two payment methods – VISA and MasterCard credit cards. This is a limited option selection, there are usually a couple of electronic payment methods, such as NETELLER. On the plus side, credit card processing is instantaneous and there are no transactional fees. This means you’ll be able to play right away. The platform supports two currencies – USD ($) and Rupee (₹). And this strongly suggests the target audience Lottery World is aiming at – Indian lottery players. Here are India’s lottery agents top list.

You can see the latest banking-related updates on the banking page of Lottery World’s website.

Withdrawal Methods

Things are a little less convenient in the withdrawal front. NetBanking is, currently, the only method for withdrawal. This method credits international credit cards that were in use on the site. There are no fees and the processing time is between one and three days. A limitation to note is the max withdrawal amount is $1,000. It’s not clear how often you can withdraw winnings from your account. I’ve reached customer support for help since I didn’t find the answer in the site’s FAQs.

Customer Support

The site’s support section includes contact us, how to play, and FAQ pages. How to play and FAQ cover a couple of topics that new players might need some assistance with – the FAQ section is extensive. The contact us page details the communication channels with customer support – live chat, email and phone – and the office’s address on a map. Lottery World is based in Willemstad, Curaçao.

Live chat is active between 6:00 GMT and 22:00 GMT. It includes most of the day but considering others offer a 24/7 support, I’m not impressed. The phone (+44 1277 424804) is available during the same hours. In case you need assistance outside of working hours, email [email protected].

Is Lottery World Legit or Fraud/Scam

Technically, Lottery World is taking adequate measures to protect its players. It means that it takes security seriously. I was looking for real player reviews, couldn’t find any on Trustpilot and other platforms. It still doesn’t mean there’s anything fraudulent, but I can’t say there’s a proven record of content players. Go East B.V. is the operator of Lottery World and it has a gaming sub-license by Curacao Interactive Licensing N.V (CIL). The Governor General of Curacao issued the master license (#5536/JAZ) to CIL.

Considering there are no player complaints, the technical aspect and the gaming license, Lottery World is not a scam. That said, you should consider this conclusion could change with user reviews. As of now, there’s no sign of fraud.

Summary

Lottery World is a decent brand with good platform support and a decent lottery selection. Payment options are limited and mostly aimed at India based players.

Alternatives to Lottery World

If you’re playing the lottery online from India, and prefer a safer choice to play at, or based elsewhere but want something I can recommend any time of day, you should try Lotto Agent.
