Prime Scratch Cards considers itself as the home of online scratchcards. As one of the oldest sites – launched in 2005 – that is focused on scratchcards, it might be true. The site is supposed to offer the most complete package for scratch players as it has a great game collection, accepts widely used payment methods and regulated by a gambling commission.

Since October of 2020, SkillOnNet is operating and sub-licensing the website. This is a modern platform that is replacing Prime Gaming’s old one. The transition from a dated platform included a new user interface and games, and it is shown across all aspects of the site.

Prime ScratchCards Review Aspects

Each review, lottery or scratch focused, revolves around a set of review aspects. This set includes the main decision-makers for picking an online lottery agent to play at. Having a fixed set means consistency and comparability between websites. Here are the review aspects and their importance.

  • Security – How well do Prime Scratchcards keep its players’ data secured.
  • Products – Which game types and games do Prime Scratchcards have on offer.
  • Features – The gameplay and platform features that improve on the player’s experience
  • Platforms – How consistent is the experience between the different screen sizes and OS’.
  • Promotions – What rewards do Prime Scratchcards offer to new and loyal players.
  • Banking – Which payment and withdrawal options Prime Scratchcards supports.
  • Support – The available channels a player can use to reach customer support, and the day and time they are available.

Security Measures

As with many sites, Prime Scratchcards has a valid SSL certificate. Cloudflare issued the certificate, and it is a known cybersecurity company.

Having an SSL certificate is important, but it has to be of a high grade. An online lottery agent handles a lot of personal information of its lottery players – identifiers and payment – and has to use a top grade certificate. I’ve checked the setup of Prime Scratchcards’ certificate using SSL Labs tool, and the grade is B. This could be because of a security level not matching the need or a technical misconfiguration.

Product and Games

PrimeScartchcards has four game categories on its website – scratch, instant win, slots, and casino. You’ll have to register to play as there’s no demo play. Note, SkillOnNet is a casino platform, and so the slots and casino sections of the website has the most games.

Scratch Cards

This is the main game category of the site, as its name suggests, and the one it started with in 2005.

There are 15 scratch games in the lobby: 7 Piggies, Diamond Strike, Fishin Frenzy, FoXin Wins, Gold Rush, Hot Safari, Irish Eyes 2, King Kong Cash, Medusa, Merlins Millions, Panda Gold, Queen of Gold, Ramesses Riches, Ted, and Wolf Gold.

Instant Win

This section of the site is confusing. There are 25 games in Instant Win and all of them are scratchies.

These are the games in Instant Win: Balloonies Swap and Pop, Breaking Bad, Cash Cookout, Cats ‘N’ Dogs, Cleopatra Instant Win, Da Vinci Diamonds Tic-Tac-Toe, Derby Run, EmotiCollect, Ghostbusters Spectral Search, Happy Hatching, Juicy Loot, Little Green Men Warp Reactor, Lucky Falls, Lucky Larry’s Lobstermania Tic Tac Toe, Medieval Money Dragon’s Loot, Pixies of the Forest Instant Win, Profit Picker, Texas Holdem Champions Edition, The Price is Right – Come on Down, The Voice, Tic Tac Temple, Tripoll, Wheel of Fortune On the Road, Wheel of Fortune Winning Words, and Tiki Tac Toe.

Slots

The slots tab, as mentioned above, has much more games than scratch or instant. SkillOnNet integrates with the biggest game studios and has hundreds of games.

The list of games includes the most popular ones, such as Starburst, Book of Cleopatra, and Gonzo’s Quest.

Casino

This tab has all the expected casino-style game in one lobby. There are hundreds of casino games in one endless scroll lobby. It’s a messy user interface for finding a game – I rather have them categorized.

Features

Prime is lean in features as it is based on a gambling platform – you complete a deposit and play directly from your account’s standing balance. Games launch from the game lobby – each game type has its own tab – and the experience is straight forward.

The site is translated into a few languages for players’ ease of access. The list of languages is English, English New Zealand, English Canada, English India, Deutsch, Suomi/Finnish, and Norsk/Norwegian. The English translations don’t change the actual texts, but the bonus terms and conditions.

Platform Support

A modern platform, such as SkillOnNet, has to be well adjusted to modern screen sizes. PrimeScratchcards’ site is responsive with multiple breaking points to match every device.

I’ve tested the website using a Galaxy smartphone, iPad, desktop and laptop and the experience was consistent. Everything loads as should on all OS’ I used.

That said, the design and UX isn’t updated to other gaming websites.

Prime ScratchCards Bonuses and Promotions

The players’ reward section is PrimeScratchcards’ biggest strength.

New players to the site get 40 (!) free scratch games with their first deposit. The minimum amount is €10. This offer is one of the best for new scratch players.

Banking Options and Terms

PrimeScratchcards’ payment options are varied and most players would find they can manage fine. These options change between countries so make sure you’re translating the site to the relevant language.

Deposit

You can deposit with any of these: credit card, Paysafecard, Trustly, Skrill, NETELLER, and ecoPayz.

Note that the new player bonus has a minimum deposit amount. You won’t get the free scratch cards unless you reach it.

Withdraw

In addition to the deposit options, you can also choose to withdraw to your bank account by wire transfer. You’ll need to send a few persona documents.

Customer Support

It took a couple of minutes to find the contact page. This is something I didn’t like. In the site’s help page, there’s an FAQ and contact widget.

The FAQ tab has four sections – licence & security, bonuses & promotions, deposit/withdrawal, and account technical. Each section includes answers to relevant questions.

The contact tab includes chat and email. The live chat is available only for logged-in players and during availability hours – 06:00-00:00 GMT. I think that the chat should be a tool for acquiring new players and be available to all visitors to the site. The email address – [email protected] – is a nice option, but a form is nicer, but I am missing an expected response time.

Is PrimeScratchcards Legitimate or Fraud?

Considering the site launched in 2005, it is secured, and the operation regulated by Malta’s Gaming Authority (MGA), it is a legit scratchcards site.

I found a few negative real player reviews from a couple of years ago, but they were relatively minor. I would have liked to see Prime address these reviews and comment on them, as other brands do.

Which Are the Best Alternatives to PrimeScratchcards?

Prime is a scratchcards site that is transitioning to a gaming site – by offering more casino and slots games than scratch. If you’re looking to play the lottery online, try playing with any one of the brands in my best lotto websites list. If you’re looking to play scratch games, try the brands in my best scratchcard sites list. Alternatively, check Multi Lotto as they offer a decent selection of lottery and scratch games.

To Which Lottery Player is It For?

This brand’s strong point is its 40 free scratches bonus for new players. A scratch player that is looking to play the most rounds for his first deposit, would get just that. You won’t get a better offer elsewhere.

Summary

PrimeScratchcards offers a unique package of scratchcard and casino games with a very attractive bonus. They are live for many years with no noteworthy issues and regulated by a gaming authority.
