The relatively plain lottery website – Free Lottery – offers free of charge daily and weekly draws of its lottery draw. Important to mention that this website is not regulated by any gambling commission which means no one will watch your back that the operation is running 100% legit on the back end of the website. The user experience is quite smooth on both desktop and mobile. However the trust score this website gains paints our experience with a relatively bad score.

Free Lottery Review Aspects

Safety and Security

Free-Lottery secures the site with an SSL certificate. FreeLottery issued their certificate with COMODO – a known and trusted issuer. I used SSL Labs’ testing tool and the grade of their certificate is B. Looks like the server is not configured correctly.

I checked if the site is flagged with any virus detection engine. None of 76 engines flagged the site, which is great. Here is the check on TotalVirus.

Since the use is free, the site doesn’t have to meet compliance. This is not a red flag, but having a government controlled body regulate a gaming activity is beneficiary to its players.

Products

There are three basic product types offered to online lottery players:

  • Daily Draw– a ticket for the website’s daily draws with a £1,000 prize
  • Weekly Draw– join the site’s weekly draw to play your chance on the £1,000,000 jackpot
  • Competitions Giveaways– every once in a while the site is running its competitions among lottery participants, you can win gift vouchers for Amazon or even some small amount of cash, this also known as “Extra Chance.”

Features

Free Lottery doesn’t excel in this area, its a pretty basic website that offers only the Quick Pick functionality – An auto-fill feature that randomly picks line’s numbers. No subscription offer is available on site.

Besides this basic functionality, you can check number statistics to help you pick your lucky numbers based on previous draws. You can also find an extensive FAQ page and a winners section that has some success stories.

Lotteries

Free Lottery offers its free lottery product with single and weekly draws, so if you’re a big lottery fan that wants to take a shot at the biggest jackpots like US Powerball and Mega Millions that’s not the place for you.

You can see across the site promotions to participate in those great jackpots. However, a quick look at them will show the service redirects you to a completely different website.

Payment Methods

Free Lottery is a free service, so no payment methods are supported, nor needed to enjoy the service.

Customer Support

While searching the site for a Contact Us page, there was no link from anywhere on the homepage. There was a link in a drop down in the menu. I also found one in the site’s sitemap. I expect online lottery services to be much clearer on the channels they open with visitors to the site.

In the contact page, there’s a postal address and an email address – [email protected]. Most of the brands I review have more direct communication options – chat, phone, or contact form – and state hours of availability. Sending an email and hoping for a reply is not a good service in comparison to modern standards. This would not be acceptable with the top tier brands.

Two other channels are Facebook and Twiiter. But, unfortunately, the FB page is down and inactive and the Twitter account hasn’t been active since June 2019 (last tweet). Seem like this operation is abandoned and not maintained at all.

Conclusion

Despite the fact the website is free to use and not require any payment methods, most chances are when you give your personal details and permissions to FREE LOTTERY, they will spam you heavily with all sorts of ads that Free Lottery must send to cover the prizes cost. Besides that, Free Lottery doesn’t offer you to participate in the world’s biggest lotteries, so your options as a lottery fan are quite limited to this website.

Pros / Cons
  • FREE to play
  • Potential of winning without risk
  • FREE Lottery monetizes visitors though spam ads

Free lottery is nice, but comes at a price – uncertainty of the business model and unclear compliance. If you like to get a safer lottery experience online, I suggest you check out the top brands. I can tell you right away that LottoAgent and LottoKings are a great pick.
